The Adidas ULTRABOOST LIGHT is a high-cushion daily training shoe designed for road running. Built for neutral runners seeking soft, responsive cushioning, the Ultraboost Light handles easy miles, long runs, and casual wear, making it a versatile daily trainer for distances from 5K to marathon.

The Adidas ULTRABOOST LIGHT features a full-length Light Boost midsole, a lighter and slightly firmer version of traditional Boost foam with quicker rebound. The midsole provides heavy cushioning concentration in the heel with a softer rearfoot landing, while the forefoot feels firmer and snappier. A Linear Energy Push (LEP) plate spans the midfoot and forefoot, facilitating smooth transitions and forward motion. The ride is highly cushioned and protective, best suited for heel strikers and easy-paced training. The thinner forefoot stack provides limited cushioning for midfoot and forefoot strikers, making the shoe less ideal for speed work or uptempo efforts.

The single-piece Primeknit upper offers a sock-like construction with a separate midfoot cage that houses the laces for secure lockdown. The fit runs true to size in length with a slightly wider width and low forefoot volume. A split external heel counter travels medially and laterally to center the heel without excess pressure, providing excellent heel security. The compressive fit loosens with break-in, and the adaptive knit accommodates various foot shapes. The wide sole platform and large rearfoot sidewalls contribute to inherent stability, making the Ultraboost Light suitable for neutral runners and those with mild pronation.

Continental rubber covers high-wear areas in the forefoot and heel, with exposed midsole foam down the center to reduce weight. The outsole delivers reliable traction on dry and wet road surfaces, performing well even on icy terrain and light trails. The Adidas ULTRABOOST LIGHT is not suitable for technical terrain.
