The Adidas ULTRABOOST 22 is a max-cushioned road running shoe designed for easy and recovery runs. This neutral trainer is best suited for daily training at relaxed paces, particularly for heavier runners seeking plush comfort over long distances.

The midsole features Adidas' Boost foam, delivering a soft, cloud-like cushioning feel with every step. A Linear Energy Push (LEP) plastic shank runs through the midfoot into the forefoot, adding structure and creating slightly snappier transitions despite the dense foam. The ride is exceptionally comfortable and protective, ideal for slow, easy-paced running above 5:30 per kilometer, though the heavy construction and lack of responsiveness make it unsuitable for faster workouts or tempo runs.

The upper uses stretchy PRIMEKNIT+ knitted mesh with hard TPU plastic panels on the midfoot for support. The fit runs true to size but features a shallow, snug toebox that tapers significantly, making the Adidas ULTRABOOST 22 better suited for narrow feet rather than wide. The lacing system provides excellent lockdown with no break-in period required, while the improved heel counter adds padding around the Achilles. Ventilation is moderate, with the upper running slightly warmer than its predecessor due to fewer perforations in the knit.
