The Adidas Adizero Boston 8 is a road running shoe designed as a versatile daily trainer and racing shoe for runners seeking a fast, up-tempo platform with mild support. It's suitable for everything from easy runs and tempo workouts to racing distances from 10K to marathon.

The midsole features Adidas BOOST foam running from heel through midfoot, topped with a firmer EVA layer directly underfoot. The BOOST layer measures 29mm at the heel and tapers past the midfoot into the forefoot, creating a softer, more cushioned rear with a firmer front section. The Adizero Boston 8 delivers a smooth, relatively firm ride with adequate cushioning for daily training and long runs up to 40 km. The updated TPU Torsion System, now wider and longer than previous versions, adds medial stability and energy transfer through toe-off. This combination makes the shoe well-suited for easy runs, tempo efforts, and marathon racing, though it feels less snappy at shorter racing distances like 5K.

The upper uses engineered knitted mesh with a Coolever mesh lining for thermal management in warm conditions. The material is thicker and softer than earlier versions, providing a more relaxed fit with extra room in the toebox and midfoot. The Adidas Adizero Boston 8 features 8 lace holes including a lace lock system for secure foot lockdown, though the eyelets can be difficult to adjust on the fly. The snug heel cup prevents slipping, while the lightly padded tongue keeps the overall profile streamlined.

The Continental rubber Stretchweb outsole on the Adizero Boston 8 provides durable grip on wet and dry pavement as well as gravel surfaces. The pattern features improved midfoot coverage for added stability and a horizontal orientation at the forefoot. The shoe is designed exclusively for road running.
