The midsole combines two foam technologies: Lightstrike in the heel provides firm, stable cushioning, while Lightstrike Pro in the forefoot and midfoot delivers softer, more responsive compression with strong energy return. An extended forefoot torsion system runs through the shoe, adding flexibility during transitions while snapping back at push-off to help propel the runner forward. The Adidas ADIZERO ADIOS 6 rides firmly overall with noticeable ground feel, becoming smoother and snappier as pace increases. The shoe requires a break-in period of around 50 km before the midsole fully opens up, and it performs best during tempo efforts and intervals rather than easy runs.

The upper uses an open, breathable mesh construction with seamless underlays and a thin gusseted tongue that stays in place during runs.
