The midsole uses a dual-density setup with NITRO supercritical foam as the primary cushioning layer and a firmer ProFoam EVA base for added stability and responsiveness. The nitrogen-infused NITRO foam creates a resilient, lively feel that maintains bounce without collapsing, while the EVA carrier prevents excessive softness. The Puma Velocity Nitro 3 delivers a responsive, moderately firm ride with good ground feel despite the 36mm heel stack. The 10mm drop and increased rocker geometry make it effective for uptempo training and speed sessions, though the firmer front section may require around 40 km of break-in for optimal flexibility.

The engineered mesh upper provides good ventilation with a straightforward, durable construction. PWRTAPE reinforcement runs through the medial arch, adding stability without the bulk of traditional stability features. The fit runs true to size but narrow throughout, particularly in the midfoot and forefoot, making it best suited for regular to narrow foot shapes. The gusseted tongue is minimally padded, and the heel counter offers a secure hold with good rigidity and padding for lockdown during runs.

The PUMAGRIP rubber outsole delivers excellent grip across multiple surfaces, including wet pavement, gravel, and light trails. The mini-lugged design provides abundant coverage for durability and traction without feeling heavy.
