The Mizuno Wave Rider 27 is a neutral daily trainer for road running, suited for easy to moderate training paces. With its high 12mm drop and firm, responsive ride, it works best for heel strikers and runners who prefer traditional shoe geometry over softer, more cushioned options.

The midsole uses Mizuno Enerzy foam combined with a Pebax Wave plate that extends from the heel into the midfoot, providing stability and forward propulsion without the feel of a traditional stability shoe. The upper features breathable engineered mesh with a gusseted tongue and secure heel counter. The X10 carbon rubber outsole offers full coverage for excellent durability and grip on both wet roads and light dirt terrain.

The shoe weighs 280g in EU 42.5 with a 38mm heel and 26mm forefoot stack height (12mm drop).
