The Supernova Rise features a full-length Dreamstrike+ midsole, a PEBA-based foam that delivers moderate bounce and a compliant, cushioned feel rather than aggressive snap. Embedded support rods add torsional stiffness and a subtle spring through the midfoot, while a highly rockered geometry with significant forefoot rocker promotes smooth transitions and works well across easy and faster efforts. The ride feels naturally suited to comfortable paces but light enough to allow some uptempo work, with bounce concentrated primarily in the heel and a balanced character that sits between plush comfort and firm responsiveness.

The Adidas Supernova Rise uses an engineered sandwich mesh upper with two dense layers that provide structure and midfoot security. The construction includes well-padded heel collars and stiff heel counters for enhanced heel hold, along with a padded traditional tongue that lacks gusseting. Fit is true to size with a fairly normal to slightly snug forefoot that stretches with use, strong midfoot lockdown, and ample reinforcements that add security across varied foot shapes. The support rod system and wide base contribute inherent stability despite the neutral classification, with a large posterior heel flare offering mild lateral guidance at heel strike.

The outsole on the Supernova Rise features generous coverage of Adiwear rubber in a smooth, road-focused layout. Traction is reliable on dry and wet pavement, with segmented sections aligned to the support rod system and a slightly elevated lateral heel sweep that smooths foot strike. While the shoe can handle light trails or gravel, it is intended for smoother road surfaces and delivers excellent durability with minimal wear expected over extended mileage.
