The Salomon Aero Glide 4 GRVL is a versatile max-cushion shoe designed for runners who mix road, gravel, and light trail surfaces. It handles road running, gravel roads, and non-technical trails with equal ease, making it ideal for mixed-terrain days and easy to steady-paced miles. Not suited for technical terrain with roots and rocks.

The midsole uses OptiFoam 2, a soft and bouncy supercritical TPU foam that provides deep cushioning with solid energy return and shock absorption. The shoe features reverse camber geometry with a mild rocker for smooth transitions. Neutral support for runners without pronation needs. The breathable mesh upper includes reinforced overlays, a protective rubber toe bumper, QuickLace system with lace storage pocket, and SensiFit structure for secure lockdown. The Contagrip gravel outsole has shallow chevron-shaped lugs (2.5–3mm) that grip wet roads and light trails while running smoothly on pavement.

Weight is 270g in EU 42.5. Stack height is 41mm heel and 33mm forefoot with an 8mm drop.
