The midsole features a dual-density construction combining Helion HF Pebax-based foam with CloudTec EVA-based foam pods. The Helion HF forms the core platform from midfoot to forefoot, while the CloudTec pods surround it and dominate the heel area, compressing on landing and expanding during push-off for a bouncy, energetic ride. The On Cloudmonster Hyper delivers a lively, responsive feel without becoming overly soft or mushy, maintaining stability despite the tall stack. The rocker profile aids smooth transitions, and the platform feels particularly cushioned and responsive for midfoot and forefoot strikers, while heel strikers may experience a slightly firmer feel. The shoe excels at easy to moderate paces and marathon-pace training but isn't designed for racing or very fast intervals.

The upper uses thin, dual-density engineered mesh that offers good breathability while remaining lightweight. Reinforced overlays at the heel counter and toe box provide structure and support without adding bulk. The gusseted tongue is lightly padded and stays in place during runs, while the unique lacing system with closely spaced eyelets and thin laces creates a secure lockdown.
