The Nike Vaporfly 4 Glam is a lightweight road racing shoe designed for competitive runners targeting 5K to half marathon distances. Built for speed work, tempo runs, and race day efforts, this super shoe prioritizes responsiveness and fast turnover at uptempo paces.

The Nike Vaporfly 4 Glam features a full-length ZoomX foam midsole with an embedded carbon fiber Flyplate that delivers propulsive energy return. The midsole uses a firmer, more energetic formulation than previous versions, creating a bouncy and snappy ride that excels at faster paces. With a lower 35mm heel stack, the shoe sits closer to the ground and provides a direct, race-tuned feel that rewards higher cadence and quick transitions. At slower paces the ride feels firm and underwhelming, but during fast running it becomes responsive with strong bounce and efficient rollover.

The engineered mesh upper on the Nike Vaporfly 4 Glam is lightweight and highly breathable, with laminated reinforcement around the laces and toe box. The fit runs snug and narrow throughout, particularly in the midfoot and forefoot, suiting runners with normal to narrow feet. The padded, non-gusseted tongue prevents lace bite, while the heel collar features perforated material and generous padding. Stability is compromised compared to daily trainers, as the sculpted midsole geometry dives inward and requires focus through turns, though the lower profile improves confidence over taller carbon racers.

The outsole features minimal rubber coverage with a wavy waffle pattern across the forefoot and small patches at the heel. Exposed ZoomX foam in the midfoot keeps weight down but wears visibly over time. The Nike Vaporfly 4 Glam delivers excellent grip on dry roads and track surfaces but loses traction on wet pavement. The thin rubber compound and exposed foam limit durability to around 300 to 350 km of use.
