The New Balance FuelCell Propel V5 is a versatile daily trainer for neutral runners, designed for road running at easy to moderate paces. It works well for daily training runs and long-distance efforts, though it's not ideal for speedwork or racing. The shoe is particularly suited for midfoot and forefoot strikers.

The midsole features FuelCell foam with a partial-length TPU plate that adds stability without sacrificing comfort. The ride is soft and well-cushioned, prioritizing comfort over responsiveness. The engineered mesh upper is highly breathable with excellent ventilation throughout. The rubber outsole provides solid traction on pavement and wet surfaces, though the midfoot cutouts can trap small rocks on gravel.

Weight is 280g in EU 42.5, with a 6mm drop and 35mm heel stack height.
