The foam Wave creates deeper cushioning at the heel for comfortable landings, a slight mid-foot rise for stability during heel transitions, and firmer foam at the forefoot for responsive toe-off. The Mizuno Wave Sky 9 performs best at easy to moderate training paces, providing protective cushioning for distance running without feeling mushy or unstable.
