HOKA STINSON 8 running shoes

The HOKA Stinson 8 is a max-cushioned trail running shoe designed for mixed-terrain use, combining road comfort with light trail capability. It's built for high-mileage training, ultra-distance racing, and easy-paced runs across smooth trails, fire roads, and paved surfaces.

The Stinson 8 uses a dual-density CMEVA foam midsole with a thick shock-absorbing base and an H-Frame stability layer. The cushioning delivers a pillow-like, soft feel with excellent impact absorption rather than responsive bounce. Toe rocker geometry and an H-Plate assist with smooth heel-to-toe transitions, making the shoe well-suited for long, easy-paced efforts and ultra-distance events.

The upper features breathable engineered mesh with woven overlays and molded cage overlays for midfoot security. A gusseted, padded tongue prevents lace irritation, while a reinforced toe bumper adds durability. The fit is true to size with a roomy toebox, and the H-Frame midsole cradles the foot to guide a balanced gait and reduce overpronation.

The Stinson 8 outsole uses HOKA's Durabrasion all-terrain rubber with 3.5mm lugs. The reduced lug depth from the previous version allows smoother road transitions while maintaining grip on packed trails and fire roads. The forefoot rubber splits in a curved design for enhanced toe-off, delivering confident traction on smooth to moderately technical terrain.
