The ASICS Magic Speed 4 is a carbon-plated performance trainer designed for tempo runs, speed workouts, and racing from 10k to marathon distances. It works best at uptempo to race paces, though it can handle slower efforts after a break-in period. The shoe is intended for neutral runners on roads and smooth surfaces.

The midsole combines FF Blast+ foam with a FF Turbo foam insert in the forefoot, housing a full-length carbon plate for propulsion. The ride is firm and responsive with excellent shock absorption. The engineered mesh upper is lightweight and breathable with a secure, low-volume fit and gusseted tongue. The ASICSGRIP rubber outsole provides solid traction on dry and wet roads, with a prominent forefoot rocker and beveled heel for smooth transitions.

Weight is 237g in EU 42.5 or 207g in EU 42 for the women's model. Stack height measures 43.5mm at the heel and 35.5mm at the forefoot, with an 8mm drop.
