Description

The ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 28 is a neutral cushioned trainer designed for easy runs, long distances, recovery days, and marathon training. It works best at relaxed paces and is suited for runners prioritizing comfort and protection over speed. The shoe features a maximum cushioning platform but delivers a firmer, more stable ride than typical max-cushioned trainers.

The midsole combines FF BLAST PLUS foam with a PureGEL insert in the heel, providing plush cushioning with a firmer, snappier feel compared to previous Nimbus versions. The shoe is built for neutral pronation with guidance-based stability elements including a wide base, raised sidewalls, and torsional stiffness. The engineered knit upper is soft and accommodating with excellent heel lockdown, while the hybrid ASICSGRIP outsole features reduced rubber coverage strategically placed in high-wear zones. A pronounced forefoot rocker aids forward propulsion but creates a stiff transition with minimal forefoot flexibility.

The shoe weighs 280g in EU 42.5 with a stack height of 43.5mm in the heel and 35.5mm in the forefoot. The drop is 8mm.
