The midsole features FF Blast Plus Eco foam throughout, delivering a plush, highly cushioned ride with soft compression. PureGel technology in the heel adds extra softness for heel strikers, while the 4D Guidance System uses a resilient midfoot foam plug to create bounce and facilitate controlled pronation transitions. The GEL-KAYANO 31 is best suited for easy-paced running and recovery efforts, though the weight and softer foam limit performance when pushing tempo or faster speeds.

The engineered mesh upper provides a comfortable, adaptable fit that molds to the foot over time, paired with a padded heel collar that enhances lockdown. A gusseted tongue keeps everything secure, while the lacing system locks down easily across the normal to slightly wide fit.
