The ASICS FUJISPEED 2 features FF BLAST PLUS foam paired with a full-length carbon plate positioned close to the foot. This combination delivers a stiff, dynamic ride with strong energy return and efficient forward propulsion. The cushioning strikes a balance between protection and ground feel, though the firm character requires a break-in period of around 30 kilometers. The carbon plate enhances performance particularly on climbs and rolling terrain, rewarding faster paces with increasingly efficient propulsion. The ride is best suited for tempo runs and short to mid-distance trail races up to marathon distance.

The upper uses an extremely thin, breathable engineered mesh with synthetic overlays for structure. A gusseted tongue stays secure during runs, while braided laces with a lace loop maintain tension.
