Description
The Salomon SUPERCROSS 4 is a trail running shoe designed for moderate to technical terrain, particularly suited for heel strikers. It handles muddy, wet, and variable trail conditions with effective traction on loose surfaces. The shoe works well for daily trail running, hiking, and running in snowy or sloppy conditions.
The midsole uses EnergyCell EVA foam that balances softness and responsiveness, with generous heel cushioning but minimal forefoot padding. The Contagrip rubber outsole features 4.2mm chevron-shaped lugs for grip on mud and technical terrain. The ripstop upper is durable with a QuickLace system, and the shoe includes a removable Ortholite insole. Built for neutral pronation with a flexible heel counter and no rock plate.
Weight is 315g in EU 42.5, with 35mm heel and 20mm forefoot stack height, and 15mm drop.
