The Salomon GENESIS is a versatile trail running shoe built for long-distance adventures and ultra racing. Designed to handle everything from moderate terrain to technical mountain trails, it's suited for runners tackling distances from daily training runs through 50km and beyond.

The midsole uses Salomon's Energy Foam, a blend of EVA and olefin block copolymers that delivers a soft, bouncy ride with responsive cushioning. The foam provides forgiving landings without feeling overly plush, striking a balance between protection and ground feel. A ProFeel film in the forefoot adds rock protection while maintaining flexibility. The Salomon GENESIS excels across varied paces and terrain types, offering enough energy return for faster sections while remaining comfortable over extended distances.

The Matryx upper combines synthetic yarns with aramid fibers for a lightweight, breathable construction that holds up to trail abuse. The material is thin and highly ventilated while maintaining durability. Salomon's Quicklace system allows one-pull adjustments with a convenient lace garage. TPU panels on the midfoot add structure without restricting movement, while a snug heel collar keeps the foot locked in place. The fit runs true to size with a spacious toe box and the broadest volume in Salomon's technical trail lineup.

The Contagrip outsole features 4.5mm multidirectional lugs with nearly full rubber coverage across the platform. The lug pattern provides reliable grip on wet rock, mud, loose trails, and mixed surfaces. The Salomon GENESIS handles steep climbs and descents with confidence across a wide range of trail conditions.
