The On Cloudboom Strike is a carbon-plated road racing shoe designed for intermediate to advanced runners tackling distances from 5K to marathon. Built for fast racing and speed workouts, it delivers a bouncy, responsive ride best suited to forefoot and midfoot strikers.

The midsole features Helion HF hyper foam, On's softest PEBA-based foam, paired with a unique removable Bounceboard insole that adds a thick layer of premium cushioning directly above the full-length carbon Speedboard. This combination creates a lively, bouncy ride with soft impact absorption and strong energy return. The carbon plate is less stiff than typical super shoes, offering a balanced feel between propulsion and comfort. Strategically placed CloudTec elements and a subtle rocker geometry enable smooth transitions from landing through toe-off. The Cloudboom Strike responds well at half marathon to marathon race pace and threshold efforts, delivering more energy the harder you push.

The upper uses a one-piece semi-transparent mesh with an internal cage construction that provides secure midfoot lockdown while remaining breathable for warm conditions. The thin, abrasion-resistant material keeps weight low while offering structured support. A non-gusseted tongue sits flat against the foot, and cushioned heel pods enhance rearfoot security. The shoe runs true to size with a medium width, though the fit is snug and race-ready through the midfoot and forefoot.

The On Cloudboom Strike features a discontinuous outsole with rubber sections covering the heel and forefoot, connected by exposed midsole foam and CloudTec cavities. The thin rubber compound provides good traction on dry roads and tracks, though grip diminishes on wet surfaces.
