The Nike Wildhorse 10 features a ReactX foam midsole that delivers a plush, cushioned ride with strong shock absorption in the heel. The foam provides good energy return and maintains a bouncy, comfortable feel with noticeable arch support. The generous stack height and responsive cushioning make it well-suited for long runs, recovery efforts, and distance training where comfort takes priority over ground feel.

The engineered mesh upper on the Wildhorse 10 offers decent breathability through punched ventilation holes. A gusseted tongue prevents debris entry while textured laces stay secure without loosening. The padded ankle collar adds protection from trail debris, and a reinforced toe cap guards against rocks and roots. The shoe provides good lateral security and neutral stability with moderate torsional rigidity. Reflective elements on the heel improve low-light visibility.

The Nike All Terrain Compound rubber outsole features 4mm multidirectional lugs that grip well on dry and wet dirt, gravel, and moderate trail surfaces. An exposed foam channel runs through the center of the outsole to reduce weight, while a forefoot rock plate shields against sharp objects. The Nike Wildhorse 10 performs best on non-technical trails but lacks the deep lugs needed for mud or loose, steep terrain.
