The Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer is a road running shoe released in 2022 that combines the lightweight Flyknit upper of the original 2012 Flyknit Racer with Air Max cushioning technology. Created as a tenth-anniversary celebration, the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer blends running performance with everyday comfort in a streamlined package.

The midsole features an Air Max unit adapted from the Nike Air Max Pre-Day, restricted on top and bottom to allow controlled side expansion for responsive bounce-back. Soft re-engineered EVA foam in the forefoot complements the Air Max heel cushioning to deliver shock absorption and smooth heel-to-toe transitions. The setup provides comfortable support for training runs and extended wear.

The upper uses Nike Flyknit construction with tightly-woven fibers that increase density and support in the heel and toe areas while maintaining breathability throughout. Synthetic leather reinforcements in the heel counter and lacing system add structure to the otherwise flexible knit. The fit runs approximately half a size large, and the toebox offers more room than the narrow original 2012 Flyknit Racer.

Built for road running and paved surfaces, the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer is designed for urban routes and everyday training on asphalt and concrete. The shoe requires no break-in period and maintains comfort across extended use.
