Nike ACG ZEGAMA running shoes

The Nike ACG Zegama is a cushioned trail running shoe designed for long-distance efforts on varied terrain, from hardpack trails to technical mountain routes. It combines plush comfort with stability, making it suitable for ultra-marathons and high-mileage training on trails.

The Nike ACG Zegama features a dual-foam midsole combining ZoomX foam with Cushlon 3.0 underneath. ZoomX delivers a soft, smooth, and bouncy ride with strong energy return, while the Cushlon 3.0 base provides structure and a stable platform. The midsole cradles the foot for security on uneven ground, offering generous cushioning that feels protective over rocks and roots. The ride quality leans toward plush comfort rather than sharp responsiveness, making the shoe well-suited for long trail outings and sustained efforts at moderate paces.

The upper uses an open-weave mesh construction that breathes well and dries quickly in warm conditions. An integrated ankle gaiter wraps snugly around the ankle to keep out debris without restricting entry. The toe box is widened to allow natural toe splay during long runs, and a midfoot lockdown band connects to the lacing system for a secure fit. The shoe runs true to size with a classic tongue design.

The Nike ACG Zegama runs on a Vibram Megagrip outsole with multidirectional lugs measuring around 5mm deep. The lug pattern combines triangular and V-shaped elements for grip across hardpack, scree, roots, mud, and even pavement. The sticky rubber compound provides reliable traction on both dry and wet surfaces, handling technical terrain and smooth transitions between trail and road.
