The New Balance FuelCell Prism v2 is a lightweight stability road running shoe designed for runners with neutral biomechanics or mild overpronation. It serves as a versatile trainer suitable for tempo runs, track sessions, and faster-paced training.

The FuelCell midsole has been updated to feel firmer and more responsive compared to the original Prism, delivering a bouncy, energetic ride without excessive softness. A medial post beneath the arch provides light stability support, while dense rubber under the heel creates guidance similar to a horseshoe shape with a longer medial side to control pronation. The New Balance FuelCell Prism v2 balances responsiveness with moderate cushioning, making it effective for varied training paces from easy runs to speedwork.

The upper features breathable engineered mesh that is lightweight and soft against the skin. A gusseted tongue and cushioned heel collar add comfort, while the lacing system provides a secure midfoot lockdown. The toe box offers ample room, and the small, flexible heel counter accommodates runners with heel sensitivities.

The outsole uses durable rubber coverage on the heel and forefoot with good traction on road surfaces. Rubber wraps in a J-shape around the heel and down the medial side for added durability and pronation guidance.
