The New Balance 1080v15 is a premium neutral daily trainer for road running. Built for easy and moderate-paced training runs, it also handles uptempo work at 4:40–5:45 min/km, though it's best suited for consistent, controlled efforts rather than fast intervals.

The midsole uses Infinion foam, a nitrogen-infused supercritical foam that's lighter and bouncier than traditional EVA. It delivers plush, soft cushioning with good energy return and resilience, avoiding the mushiness of earlier versions. The knit upper offers high volume and flexibility with a moderately thick gusseted tongue. The outsole features a minimalist design with rubber strips in the heel and forefoot, leaving the midfoot midsole exposed. A pronounced rocker geometry aids smooth heel-to-toe transitions, while mild stability features include a straight last and small sidewalls in the heel.
