The New Balance 1080V15 features Infinion foam, a supercritical nitrogen-infused midsole that replaces the previous Fresh Foam X platform. This lightweight foam delivers a soft, plush landing with responsive energy return, offering well-balanced cushioning that feels protective without becoming mushy or unstable. The moderate forefoot rocker and aggressive heel bevel create smooth heel-to-toe transitions across different foot strikes. While the ride excels at easy to moderate training paces, the 1080V15 handles faster efforts in the 4:40 to 5:45 per kilometer range, making it suitable for tempo runs and fartlek workouts though less ideal for track intervals or race-pace sessions.

The upper combines a double-layer jacquard mesh construction with an outer layer for breathability and an inner layer providing structure. The soft, stretchy knit offers excellent airflow and comfort straight out of the box. A well-padded gusseted tongue and generous collar padding ensure a secure fit without adding bulk, while the firm but low-profile heel counter provides rear support.
