The midsole combines Mizuno Enerzy Next foam with the brand's Wave Plate technology, a dual-density structure that provides stability and smooth transitions on firm terrain. The cushioning offers a firmer ride designed to isolate the foot from varied surfaces while maintaining durability for daily training on compact ground.

The upper was redesigned in version 3 with reduced material in the toe box balanced by extended lateral reinforcements for improved stability without excess weight. The shoe features a padded tongue, structured heel counter, and a fit that provides support around the ankle and midfoot.

The Wgrip outsole is engineered for durability on hard surfaces including asphalt and compact trails. The tread features low but substantial lugs with good rubber density, offering adequate traction on sand and moderately loose terrain, though the Mizuno WAVE RIDER TT 3 is not designed for technical or muddy sections.
