Running shoes Mizuno WAVE DAICHI 9 GTX

The Mizuno Wave Daichi 9 GTX is a trail running shoe designed for all types of trail runners across varied terrain and weather conditions. It combines trail-specific features with the soft feel and comfortable fit of a road running shoe.

The midsole features Mizuno Enerzy foam throughout for soft cushioning and strong energy return. The Foam Wave technology uses two foam layers—U4icX on top and Mizuno Enerzy below—creating a wave structure that delivers both comfort and stability from the heel through the midfoot. A forefoot rock plate provides additional shock absorption when encountering rocks and roots on technical terrain. The Wave Daichi 9 GTX suits moderate paces across varied trail surfaces and distances.

The upper uses a soft, breathable woven material that keeps the shoe light while providing protection. A gusseted tongue hugs the foot securely without pressure points, and a hidden shoelace pocket on the tongue keeps laces tucked away during runs. The Gore-Tex membrane throughout the upper provides waterproof protection while maintaining breathability in wet conditions.

The outsole uses Vibram Megagrip compound, offering enhanced grip on wet and uneven terrain. The lug design features 4mm deep lugs that provide traction on technical trails, loose dirt, and rocky surfaces. A toe guard adds durability and protection against trail obstacles. The Wave Daichi 9 GTX handles muddy paths, wet roots, and rugged terrain.
