Description
The HOKA Torrent 4 is a lightweight trail shoe built for short, fast efforts on moderate terrain. It suits runners looking for speed and agility on buffed singletrack and dry trails, particularly for distances under 50 km. The shoe works well for tempo runs and quick descents on trails with less technical demands.
The midsole uses compressed EVA foam with a MetaRocker geometry that provides responsive cushioning without being overly soft. Support is neutral. The single-layer mesh upper features a gusseted tongue and molded overlays for trail security. The outsole has 5 mm lugs made from high-abrasion rubber compound, delivering good traction on dirt and rocky terrain but showing limitations on wet surfaces and loose ground.
Weight is 279 g in EU 43.5. Stack height measures 33 mm in the heel and 28 mm in the forefoot with a 5 mm drop.
