The HOKA CHALLENGER 8 features a compression molded EVA midsole with increased stack height compared to earlier versions, delivering a soft and plush ride focused on comfort rather than energy return. The rocker geometry facilitates smooth heel-to-toe transitions at relaxed paces, making the shoe well-suited for recovery runs and steady mileage. The forgiving compression of the foam provides effective cushioning-based protection on longer outings, though the softness can feel less responsive during faster efforts.
