The midsole features Brooks' DNA Tuned technology, a nitrogen-infused foam system that combines larger cells in the heel for softer landings with smaller cells in the forefoot for firmer, more responsive toe-offs. The ride feels initially firm but breaks in over around 25-30 kilometers to deliver balanced cushioning with good energy transfer. The Brooks Glycerin GTS 22 works best at easy to moderate training paces, providing full-length cushioning that supports extended mileage without feeling overly soft or unstable.

The upper uses a double-jacquard knit mesh construction that offers strong breathability while maintaining a secure fit. A well-padded tongue and increased padding around the ankle opening enhance comfort during longer efforts. The Brooks Glycerin GTS 22 incorporates GuideRails stability technology, featuring medial guiderails that extend into the midfoot to counter excess pronation without feeling intrusive.
