The shoe features a DNA Tuned midsole, a nitrogen-infused dual-cell foam system with larger cells in the heel for impact absorption and smaller cells in the forefoot for a firmer, more responsive toe-off. The Glycerin 23 adds 2mm of cushioning to the forefoot compared to its predecessor, resulting in a softer, more forgiving landing that works well for both heel and forefoot strikers. The foam is soft yet resilient, delivering a smooth, consistent ride best suited for easy-paced daily training and recovery runs. The improved heel bevel geometry creates smoother transitions, though the shoe maintains a heel-biased feel. At over 300g, the Brooks Glycerin 23 is not designed for tempo work or speedwork, reinforcing its role as a comfort-first trainer.

The upper uses a triple jacquard warp knit engineered mesh that provides a plush, premium feel with good breathability in cooler conditions.
