The Brooks Ghost Max 2 is a max-cushioned road running shoe designed for neutral runners seeking plush, protective cushioning for daily training and recovery runs. The midsole features DNA Loft v3 foam, a nitrogen-infused EVA that delivers softer cushioning than the previous v2 version while maintaining responsiveness and structure. The Brooks Ghost Max 2 combines this thick cushioning with a GlideRoll rocker geometry that promotes smooth heel-to-forefoot transitions and supports a midfoot strike pattern. The 6mm drop and generous stack height create a balanced ride that feels protective without excessive ground disconnect, making it well-suited for easy runs and long distances rather than uptempo training.

The upper uses engineered mesh with a double jacquard construction, featuring open mesh over the toes for breathability and tighter knit in support areas. A plush tongue and heel collar add step-in comfort, while the firm heel cup provides a secure, stable fit. Raised midsole sidewalls enhance inherent stability, and the shoe is available in three width options to accommodate different foot volumes.
