The ASICS MEGABLAST is a road running shoe designed as a versatile daily trainer for runners of all levels. Built for a wide range of training needs, it handles easy runs, long runs, tempo work, and race day duties without compromise.

The midsole features FF Turbo Squared foam, ASICS' newest ATPU-based cushioning that delivers around 30% more bounce and roughly 10% more softness than the original FF Turbo. Without a carbon plate, the ASICS MEGABLAST relies on its highly responsive foam and moderate rocker geometry for smooth transitions and energetic toe-offs. The ride feels bouncy and lively with strong energy return, performing consistently across paces from recovery efforts to uptempo workouts and racing.

The thin engineered woven mesh upper prioritizes lightweight breathability, paired with a gusseted tongue and sawtooth laces that hold securely. Generous padding around the heel collar provides a locked-in feel, though the tapered toe box runs snug and may suit narrower feet better. Despite the high stack height, the shoe offers notable stability through its wide platform and the inherent firmness of the ATPU foam composition, making it a true neutral shoe without aggressive support features.

ASICSGRIP rubber is strategically placed around the forefoot perimeter, under the ball of the foot, and along the heel in long strips, providing sticky and reliable traction on road surfaces. The coverage pattern balances grip and weight savings, performing well even in wet conditions. The ASICS MEGABLAST is designed exclusively for paved roads and similar smooth surfaces.
