The ASICS GEL-Cumulus 27 features a full-length FF Blast+ midsole that delivers a slightly softer, bouncy ride with good responsiveness. A PureGEL insert in the heel adds extra cushioning to smooth landings without creating excessive bounce. The midsole offers moderate ground feel and good flexibility in the forefoot after an initial break-in period. The shoe handles a range of paces well, from easy recovery efforts to tempo runs and fartlek sessions, with smooth transitions through the heel and midfoot aided by a posterolateral heel bevel.

The upper uses engineered jacquard mesh that's thick yet soft and flexible. A well-gusseted tongue and padded heel collar provide secure lockdown and comfort.
