The PUREBOOST 5 uses Light Boost foam in the midsole, a responsive cushioning system that provides moderate shock absorption and strong energy return. The midsole geometry features a steep heel-to-toe profile that particularly benefits heel strikers, though it works less well for midfoot or forefoot landing patterns.

The upper uses breathable engineered mesh with ventilation holes in the toebox and midfoot for good airflow. A semi-gusseted tongue provides secure lockdown, while the spacious toebox allows room for toe splay. The shoe includes a TPU protective layer on the toebox, an extended heel collar, and dual plastic inserts in the heel counter for added structure. It fits true to size in medium width and offers neutral support with mild stability features.

The outsole uses Adiwear rubber with full-length coverage and strategic flex cutouts. It provides solid traction on wet surfaces and demonstrates strong durability. The PUREBOOST 5 handles paved roads effectively.
