The Adidas Adizero EVO SL features a full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole, the same soft and bouncy foam found in the Adios Pro 3 but without carbon fiber plating. Instead, a nylon midfoot shank provides subtle structure and snappiness at faster paces without the stiffness of carbon. The ride is smooth and responsive, working well across easy recovery runs and uptempo sessions alike. A forefoot rocker enhances the forward roll, while the foam becomes more responsive after an initial break-in period of around 30 kilometers. The cushioning offers strong energy return and shock absorption despite the shoe's minimal weight.

The upper uses an engineered mesh construction with extensive ventilation throughout. A non-gusseted thin tongue keeps weight down but may shift during runs for some wearers. The fit runs true to size with a slightly tapered toe box that opens into a wider forefoot.
