The Adidas SL20 features a full-length Lightstrike foam midsole that delivers a firmer, more responsive ride compared to softer cushioning systems. The foam provides moderate rebound with a snappy feel, particularly when paired with the streamlined Torsion System plate that adds structure and a distinct toe-off snap at faster paces. The ride is smooth and dynamic, performing best at tempo efforts around 5:00 min/km, though it feels less comfortable at relaxed easy paces. The 19mm forefoot stack offers sufficient cushioning for longer efforts while maintaining ground feel and responsiveness.

The upper uses a dense woven engineered mesh that conforms securely to the foot with a structured, supportive fit.
