The Adidas ADISTAR CS is a maximal stability road running shoe designed for recovery runs and easy-paced training. Built for runners who need substantial support and protection, this heavy trainer prioritizes stability over speed.

The Adidas ADISTAR CS uses Repetitor foam in the midsole, combined with a Repetitor+ support frame that wraps around the lateral heel, medial heel, and medial midfoot. The cushioning feels notably firm and grounded rather than soft, despite the high stack height. An internal Energy Drive plastic plate runs through the midsole, eliminating flexibility and creating a stiff, controlled ride. The highly aggressive rocker geometry compensates for the firmness, helping drive forward motion during recovery runs and slow-paced efforts. The substantial weight makes faster paces challenging, keeping this shoe best suited for easy mileage.

The upper features a wider fit with lower overall volume, particularly through the midfoot. An extremely thick, asymmetrical tongue provides padding but may shift laterally during runs. The shoe includes a full heel counter on the inner sidewall and a hard toe guard. Extensive high sidewalls deliver noticeable medial and lateral support, while the Repetitor+ support frame adds structural stability throughout the heel and midfoot. The fit runs approximately half a size long.

The Adidas ADISTAR CS is intended exclusively for road running, as the prominent guide line through the outsole easily catches debris on trails. Extensive outsole coverage provides excellent durability with minimal wear over extended use.
